Ultra-Realistic Modern Warfare Game Features Awaiting Orders, Repairing Trucks
Ladies and Gentlemen, the amazing Onion News Network. I've not heard great things about Modern Warfare 2, and the price tag of $60 for four or five hours of single-player shooting just isn't worth it to me. Which is actually a good thing, because I've already got "Dragon Age Origins," "Tropico 3", and "Borderlands" within the last few weeks. And yes, I still have the MMORPG "Warhammer" to play, just got my main character up to level 30.
Mini-reviews for these games in progess - "Dragon Age Origins" has amazing graphics and a good swords and sorcery fantasy plot, the normal level is actually challenging, but there's way too much talking that doesn't really affect the gameplay. "Tropico 3" has a new game designer developing the "Sim-Island" motif of its predecessors, and it's a lot of fun, casual stuff, but entertaining and still challenging. Play off the Soviets and USA to get more funding and avoid superpower invasions... Last but not least, "Borderlands" is just flat-out enjoyment for any first-person shooter fan who likes Mad Max films. Good solid entertainment, minimal chatting with the NPCs, and just an embarrassing amount of firepower and graphic effects.
Join me next week as my head explodes, trying to make time for a fourth game, "Left for Dead 2." I think I'll download it off of Steam and might, just might, get around to it over Thanksgiving holiday. If not then, maybe during the Christmas holiday season. So many games, so little time.

I just played the demo for L4D2 yesterday and it was a lot of fun. The frying pan makes a satisfying clang as you bean the zombies but the machete seems to be a more efficient melee weapon.
I'll be anxious to hear your thoughts about it.

If you thought the frying pan was fun, try the guitar, it makes an even more satisfying "whang/twang" noise. Slow as heck though.

Am I the only person who thinks that the ONN game sounds like Evercrack? I would play it :)
