And you thought it was only American white supremacists who cooked up ricin at home in their mad dreams of fighting the Evil Government... Let's go to Britain and see what's going on there.
Anti-terrorism officers have been searching the home of Ian Davidson, 41, since his arrest on Tuesday under the Terrorism Act 2000.
Police said the suspected ricin was found in a jam jar at the property in Myrtle Grove, Burnopfield.
Durham Police said there was no threat to the public.
Mr Davidson is being questioned by Durham officers and the North East Counter Terrorism Unit at a police station in West Yorkshire.
The substance was examined in tests by scientists in Scotland and is to be sent under escort to the Ministry of Defence's chemical biological warfare facility at Porton Down for further examination.
Well, at least they are not charging him with possession of a WMD. Ricin is also the agent of choice for those nasty US domestic squabbles. Hat tip to Ray!

Here's a summary of the colorful nuts who've been convicted in the US on ricin charges over the past decade or so.
We obviously think alike.
Note ricin recipes on the Net come with Google Adsense, some of the webmasters realizing there's some small amount of wampum to be made off searches for them.
