Building on that past post about news organizations not having a clue as to how policy works, we see the LA Times bleating about how Obama has been pinned with winning the conflict in Afghanistan. They want to see his plan and metrics NOW.
-----------
Obama didn't put a price tag on the stepped-up operation, and Congress will have to demand strict oversight of funds destined for a country known for rampant corruption. Then there was the question Obama didn't answer: How will we get out? We will be listening for Obama to articulate his measures for success in Afghanistan and, with that, his exit strategy. This is Obama's war now. Let's hope it's not his Vietnam.
This is bullshit. Bush started this war, executed it poorly for EIGHT YEARS, and within the first 100 days of the Obama administration, there are these demands about exit strategies and measures. Give me a break.
This is not Obama's War. It's Bush's Wars - plural - Obama just has to clean up the mess that Bush could not bother to finish as soon as possible. And I think we've got the exit strategy, at the least.
