Run away! Run away!
Kris Alexander has a great find over at Wired's Danger Room - the good law enforcers in New Haven, Connecticut were terrified that terrorists were using anthrax powder to draw arrows and circles in the streets and parking lots of their fine town. Wow, what a relief that this wasn't the case.
Daniel Salchow (the
runnerterrorist in question) biked back to IKEA when he heard there was a problem and told officers the powder was just harmless flour, which he said he and his sister have sprinkled everywhere from New York to California without incident.more..
Mayoral spokeswoman Jessica Mayorga said the city plans to seek restitution from the Salchows, who are due in court Sept. 14.
“You see powder connected by arrows and chalk, you never know,” she said. “It could be a terrorist, it could be something more serious. We’re thankful it wasn’t, but there were a lot of resources that went into figuring that out.”
That's the problem when you're living with a Sep 12th mindset . You forget the idea that you're not supposed to run around in panic, like a headless chicken. We've had nearly six years to work out homeland security processes and to get equipment to the emergency responders. Maybe, just maybe, the terrorists aren't using their weaponized anthrax to draw arrows and circles in Ikea parking lots.

I think most folks in this country would be better off with some hashing experience . . .

To me the real terror is assembly of flat pack furniture...

I believe that arrows and circles are satanic...or perhaps gay...whatever
